Autumn in Approach

Captain's log Sep 11, 2020

A more favorable wind from the west helps us to quickly reach Kvitsøy, an archipelago of scattered rocks exposed to the North Atlantic waves. On this stunningly beautiful island we learn about the life cycle of lobsters and the history of this barren place from a friendly local. After a short hop to the industrial harbour town of Tananger we have to say a sad goodbye to Regina. A strong breeze with some large waves from behind quickly carry us along the more exposed parts of Norway's coast to Kristianssand with a quick pit stop at Nalaugviga.
In Kristianssad we have another tearful goodbye to Nils and Rasmus, but also make the acquaintance of a fellow boat dweller named Evan. We spend a few days in this rather strange city to make some repairs and stock up on supplies. Just before we set off, Philipp joins us for the final part of our journey.
