Relaunch

Great News! On the hook of a big crane the Goden Wind was moved just a few but very significant meters. After all those hours in a dark and dusty shed, it's great to see her out in the sunshine. Getting her hooked up to the crane was quite exciting as I'm doing it for the first time without any guidance.
Once in the water, the engine starts after a little encouragement and the new prop makes itself felt. After a few tries the forward gear also engages (this propeller turns the other way for forward as compared to the old one). So something is still not quite right, but more on that soon. We still manage to get to our berth and tie up after a bit of circling around while getting that gear into place.

Finally, she is back in her natural habitat for the 44th time (the title picture shows her first launch), but there is quite a bit more work to do before we can set off.
