Threading the Needle

Out of Kristiansand we sail through the inner channel in between the many rocks and islands with a stop in the tiny Blindleia passage mooring alongside the rock at Mortensholmen. Saying goodbye to the local goat population, we continue dodging countless shoals and make a pitstop at Grimstad for a bit of fuel. Hoping for a peaceful anchroange in the Valoyne archipelago, we set off again soon but find these low islands provide insufficient shelter. Very briefly, we moor in the nearby town of Fevik but find no guest spots here, so we continue on to Brattholmene. With the failing light,, we finally moor on a small jetty built here by Arendal's sailing club.

Continuing through the beautiful scenery of land and water mixed up into random patterns we reach the Kragerø Archipelago and tread into the tiny entrance of Skutevikkilen on Gumøy. Having managed to enter this lovely shelterd bay, we enjoy the mostly untouched nature on this little island by foot.

With a little difficulty and a slight touch of the rock in the exit of this bay, we quickly make way into the Oslofjord and sail into the the small picturesque town of Son. The last leg of Norway's busiest Fjord we quickly cover and make a short stop in the Middagsbukta before entering Oslo itself.
