After waiting out some strong westerlies on Jungfruskär, we head into the wind
towards Mariehamn, the capital of the Åland Islands, which involved some
navigationally intense tacking through many rocks and big ships.
From Hanko we head north towards Turku through many narrow passageways, some
barely wider than the ship. A small thunderstorm offers a welcome break from the
lull and carries us the last few
Helsinki being our easternmost port of call, we set course due west. However, as
there is not much wind, we dock at a small jetty on the tiny island of
Käärmesaari (Snake Island)
