From Copenhagen we set a northerly course towards the Kattegat with a moderate
breeze from astern, which increases to a fresh breeze after we exit the Øresund.
As nightfall approaches it picks up
With the temperature dropping and winds picking up, we make haste to head south.
Working against a stiff breeze with gale force gusts shows us the forces of
autumn, and we soon seek
After extensively exploring Stora Skär, we head south again towards Träskö
Storo. Here we find another lovely natural harbour, and to everyone's delight,

After waiting out some strong westerlies on Jungfruskär, we head into the wind
towards Mariehamn, the capital of the Åland Islands, which involved some
navigationally intense tacking through many rocks and big ships.
